The ultimate waiting room activity, this game is great for those who have lots of doctor’s appointments, but can’t enjoy reading the magazines like they used to. Quick game play helps keep people focused and the rules are stored in people’s long term memory so even those with moderate to severe memory changes should still be able to play. If fine motor skills are impaired, try making the board extra big, using a fat pen or marker instead of a skinny one, or simply have the person point out which square they want to use and you draw the “X” or “O” for them.
