The ultimate in reminiscing, going through the person with memory loss’s yearbooks is a great way to find out new things about your loved one. Have them read the old messages, try and find their old crush, see what extracurricular activities they were involved with, what clothing and hairstyle they wore, etc. This is great for every stage of the disease. In the mild stages, let the individual share the stories they want to tell (and keep some things secret!). In the moderate stages, you might have to give more prompts or help find relevant pictures. In the severe stages, read the captions or messages out loud to the person and comment about their class picture.
